سنن ابن ماجه#1332Da'ifحَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ، وَالْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْحَدَثَانِيُّ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا سُنَيْدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " قَالَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ لِسُلَيْمَانَ يَا بُنَىَّ لاَ تُكْثِرِ النَّوْمَ بِاللَّيْلِ فَإِنَّ كَثْرَةَ النَّوْمِ بِاللَّيْلِ تَتْرُكُ الرَّجُلَ فَقِيرًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It was narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said:“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘The mother of Sulaiman bin Dawud said to Sulaiman: “O my son, do not sleep too much at night, for sleeping too much at night will leave a man poor on the Day of Resurrection.”
